I’m very proud to announce that I’m now an official CSP or Certified Speaking Professional. I think that I’m the first one in Belgium who can call himself a CSP (can’t find somebody else until now). It’s of course mainly an ‘official’ thing but I did it anyway to ‘check’ if my track-record allowed me to get this ‘title’. Here’s a short description from the National Speakers Association:
The CSP is the speaking profession’s international measure of professional platform competence. When you earn your CSP designation, meeting professionals looking to hire the best of the best will see your commitment to the profession, know you have top-notch speaking ability and a track record of professionalism and success. Only a little more than 12 percent of speakers worldwide currently hold this credential. This means you’ll be recognized as one of the best in your field and set yourself apart for an even more successful speaking career.
It would be great to get loads of new requests now from clients but don’t think that will be the case but it’s a nice acknowledgement of the presentations that I’ve done in the past. And I hope it will only get better in the future. I can get my ‘official’ medal in Canberra at the end of March at the National Speakers Association Australia. Luckily I will be already in that area of the world at that moment, otherwise it would have been a bit far to get a medal 😉
